The Clean
Dream Act
On September 5th, 2017 the administration announced the end to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) which offered protection to over 800,000 youth across the country. As Creative and Digital Director of the Clean Dream Act campaign, I developed a new campaign brand and digital strategy, which successfully engaged thousands of immigrant youth to tell their stories, mobilized students and allies to stage walkouts all over the country, and travel to Washington, DC to shutdown Congressional offices in demand for a Clean Dream Act.
This new narrative successfully disrupted the Trump administration’s anti-immigrant narrative, building the largest movement to date for Congress to protect not only 800,000 DACA recipients, but also the broader immigrant community.
The campaign's digital strategy innovated by having over 40 Facebook lives of Congressional office takeovers simultaneously, a jumbotron placed in front of Congress with voice and video messages from immigrants and allies to Congress, and more.
